Respect 04:08
©2016 d. wheeler amy bailey struts into Paris Club dressed for trouble feels good about boyfriend, wants to go the next level she's keeping mum and she’s playing it cool but after a few she blurts out the news, bad idea a minute later she's come out to cry desperately searching her bag as drops fall from the sky and to make matters worse, she's right out of fags that's when the shots fire from a tinted windows four wheel drive there's three guys in the front seat and they’re daring one another one's got a gun, his mate says "whatever" oooh he’s got a gun oooh there's so little left of Daisy, she's braver than most she won't go to a home, she still makes a killer roast (ooh) she does her own groceries and carries her own bags she catches the bus, she’s still a pretty darn welcoming host now she's walking the streets, only stooping slightly and notices the sun shines a little less brightly these days, she's happier for global warming 'cos it keeps the bills down and her garden bees swarming (heh heh) there's three guys coming and they're daring each other one's got a knife his mate says "whatever" why, why you goin’ do this for? why, the hell you doin’ this? why? he’s got a knife why did you have to go why did they have to take you?

© 2016 d. wheeler i give my trust to you there's nothing else to do so if it's fine by you i give my life to you i’ve nothing much to prove and i have naught to lose for living life for you is a simple thing to do don't have the luxury of knowing history of being wrong or right just cast into the night we have no use for dreams we have no strength for sleep war knocks on every door blood from the homes it pours the darkness spreads the world into the fire we're hurled it lasts a thousand years long after mothers' tears the battle carries on and if only there were just the one but no miracles belong outside the realm of song i gave my life to you there's nothing i could do so if it's fine by you i’ll keep on being blue

End Times 02:27
© 2016 d. wheeler and when the fires burned it all to the ground bereft of hope, we see the fear in our father’s eyes we know the truth is lies make no mistake this evil has no face, our vigilance can’t rest and as a youth we saw through youthful eyes if anger wins the war, we could die today so patience be my friend, and we’ll survive today feels like we’re going under i don’t believe, believe the things i’m seeing what happens next, the giant wounded makes his threats “my anger knows no end!” i don’t believe, believe the things i’m seeing

about

An uplifting album choc full of funky and smooth numbers, it somehow manages to sprinkle 6 awesome decades of varied influences over Duncan Alex’s own incredibly original and invigorating alternative prog pop/rock/RnB compositions. Smooth vocals are set against 70's/80's- style vocoder and fluid, gritty guitar riffing by Exmouth local guitar hero Ian Davey, underpinned by alternately warm and foot stomping basslines. This musical adventure has several surprises in store - such as the husky tones of guest vocalist Jess Hatton-Brown. It starts great and gets even better, rewarding repeated listens, leaving you wanting more. BBC radio described the track ‘Before Us’ as, “So much happening that it shouldn’t work but it flippin' well does…we don’t know how you do it, just keep doing it!” - So say we all.
